Nigeria’s Chibok Women Abduction By Boko Haram

A decade in the past in April, Boko Haram kidnapped 276 secondary faculty ladies (16-18 yr olds) from their faculty in Chibok Nigeria.

Ama Pomaa Boateng, the Member of Parliament for Ghanas ‘ Juaben Constituency and consultant of Ghana to the ECOWAS Parliament joined the worldwide outrage and marketing campaign with the likes of Michelle Obama to #BringBackOurGirls.

In Might 2014, she joined a march to the Nigerian Embassy in Accra at hand over a petition to the Nigeria Authorities to ensure of the security and arrival of the women.

Later In 2017,while attending the 2017 First Odd Session of the ECOWAS Parliament of the Fourth Legislature in Abuja, because the Vice Chair of the Gender and Ladies Empowerment Committee and ECOFEPA , she led the committee to fulfill 82 of the kidnapped ladies who had been launched by Boko Haram.

The Committee made money and in-Form donations to the women.

In addressing the women, dad and mom, worldwide group and media, Ama reiterated the necessity for the women to proceed their schooling regardless of the ordeals they’d been by means of.

She assured them of Ghana’s help and inspired the ECOWAS Communities to make secure faculties for lady little one schooling a precedence.

Ten years on, lots of the 2014 kidnapped ladies are nonetheless lacking and lots of extra have been kidnapped within the battle areas in Nigeria.
